History

Ken Hamel graduated from Assiniboine Community College in 1987 as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician. He worked as a Journeyman Technician until 1992.

1992 – 2003: Ken Hamel started Cros-Can Industries a HDD company with his two uncles. Cros-Can Industries was involved with heavy construction and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Ken’s role was Field Manager of field operation projects. They worked in Manitoba for the first couple of years and then expanded into other provinces in Canada. During this time they also opened operations in the United States through their subsidiary, Cros-Am Industries.

2004 – 2016: Ken sold his shares in Cros-Can Industries and started his own company, Cros-Man Direct Underground Ltd, as owner and manager installing underground utilities in the provinces of Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

2016 to Present: Cros-Man Direct Underground Ltd was sold to the Energold Group.
